2021-02-21 21:33:57 +0000 UTCI wish when I had originally watched this, that I had paid more attention to the "Bonnie- Damon" bantering, the more I watch the better it gets. Alaric/Klaus would never come to the Salvatore's now that they know it's Klaus, he knows Damon or Stefan can kill him instantly...he's human. Damon dancing makes my day (that was my favorite one) always.

2021-02-21 06:21:55 +0000 UTCI love Damon and Bonnie together they have such good chemistry. Could see that from S1 episode 22 and it just kept increasing for me. Damon actually cares about Bonnie and wanted to see if she could increase her odds of surviving and Bonnie was surprised listening to Damon say that. Damon dances so well him dancing with those 2 girls is so fun and cute to watch it definitely amused Bonnie haha. Damon literally was the star for me this episode along with Bonnie and Alaric- Klaus. You caught it rightly when klaus was like you weren’t impressed ? To Damon that was super funny. The actor who plays klaus this episode- Matt Davis is soo good the way he acted this episode is so fun to watch.

Damon doesn't often say things without reason and I 100% KNOW that Damon KNOWS that Elena KNOWS how devoted he is to her. So I don't think that was why he said that. Elena came to his room and basically drew a line in the sand. She won't let Bonnie die for her and she is pissed that Damon kept that info from her. So he tells her the truth and I felt like this was him drawing HIS line in the sand. We know how hypocritical Elena can be with the whole choice thing. He's saying you can make your choice and *I* have the right to make mine too. "I will always choose you" I felt like you could see that she accepted that and finally understood it. Of course she didn't like it so she went and woke up Elijah...

It is pretty obvious that he will not let Bonnie die, but he wanted to let Elena know the extent of his devotion, which is more than just say “I love you”. And at this point if I had to bet on Stefan or Damon to keep Elena, or anybody alive, I would bet on Damon. He get things done, no matter what, because at the end of the day, as you so cleverly got it, he is a man and Stefan is a boy, and that is the key for understanding the two brothers and all future events. Stefan is very caring and compassionate, when he turned he was 17years old and never knew the toughness that Damon experienced in his life as human, when he turn at 25, older more experienced, a survivor already, experienced war, the father situation...That is why Stefan being loving and caring is weaker and Damon is stronger, Damon was already a survivor when he was turned, and even if Stefan had big issues after, in his ripper years, he had Lexi to lean on, Damon with everything he went through that we know (and you don’t jet), had nobody, he deal with a though life before and after been a vampire, on his own. That is why Damon, the survivor, is Elena's best chance to survive, Stefan is weaken by his too caring side, he isn't capable to make life and death decisions. he would worried too much about collateral damage. Stefan got it and hit home harshly, he didn’t like it, and his face spoke volumes. Elena got it too, but she isn’t willing to take any chances. That is why she went to wake Elijah.
