Developer's Diary #19

Hi, folks!

Work on v0.1 is almost done. I already sent dialog files for revision and now I'm doing some final tests on the new systems.

The background framework is ready, so I hope next versions will feature a better amount of new content than v0.1. However, this version will feature the first animations in the the new sprite mesh system, which is amazing! It is saving me a lot of the boring work I needed before to make  animations fluid (and sexy!)

I believe I can release it in a couple of days!

In the first animations I had to break each part in separate sprites. Then I started using the Anima2D plugin for Unity, making the process much easier. Now I just need to separate sprites that overlap over each other during the animations!

The Architect

I am inspired by how you are pushing the boundaries of what a VN game can deliver. I have a question about how you generate your in game animations. Are you typically working with a single sprite image, or breaking the actor into multiple sprites (e.g., head, neck, torso, etc.) ? Thank you!
