What's next?
Added 2018-06-27 20:56:24 +0000 UTCHi, folks! When Hack'n Stalk 2.0 started, I didn't know if I would start another project right after finishing it. But, hey... A fair amount of people started enjoying and supporting the development of the game and my response was always keep working on more and quicker releases. So... Let's not stop now (I still dream that one day I'll be able to actually work on this for a living).

HnS series is my take on visual novels. I wanted to make the genre a little more "gamish" but not "grindy" with the D.I.C.K. system, point-and-click sequences and mini-games. I wanted to make it more "visual" and less "novel", with more animations and no written narration or descriptions (only dialogs).
For the next project, I think about trying a less linear game. Adding some visual character customization, a little more sandbox like game with events and focused in more dynamic non-scripted sex scenes, always trying to avoid excessive grinding. It doesn't mean it wouldn't have a story, but it would be less focused on a story.
But... I know there are more than 200 people here (woah) who pledged for a HnS2 style of game and I don't wanna pull a Fallout 76 move (I don't love you anymore, Bethesda).
So... I'll post here what each kind of game mean and let you say what do you think.
1) Another HnS2 styled Visual Novel
You already know this one. A game more focused on a story with some few branches, non-linear point and click sequences leading to scripted scenes and mini-games here and there. I have a lot fun making these, but sometimes I think it has a very low work time/gameplay time ratio. Careful writing takes much more time than one might think, and not being proficient in English makes things harder!
2) A "sandbox like" game with dynamic events and scenes
A game less focused on the story, with dynamic scenes and some visual character customization. I love Splendid Ostrich's New Life, and always wanted to see that kind of game with visuals and animations. It's not about the transformation aspect of this particular game (not that I care or particularly dislike), but the game-play itself. I never worked on something like this, but it will surely also be a lot of fun!
The Tech Demo
This little tech demo attached to the post is an idea of the customization system. You'll notice that I'm trying to make it a "2.5D" game, with 3D scenery, dynamic lightning and 2D characters. Try to run it at least in "fast" quality to use the dynamic lightning. The character you see is just for testing purposes

Well.. I am just here because you are the only creator that have a very good taste in women (because it fits my taste). The breasts are not oversized and natural. You dont make any Japan-Fetish stuff like transforming genders or people with bunny-ears or something else that will disturb me. Also it seems you have the same fable like me for blackmailing stories or similar. Your graphics are the best in adult-game genre without competition and your girls (judging by HaS2) are looking very natural and realistic. Which means: I love your games. And I am sure, whatever you will do, its supposed to be a good game. (as long you will not make it in RPGMaker :P)

2018-06-30 02:22:45 +0000 UTCVoted for C, but still wanted to share some opinions. I did not see one good Sandbox-Sex-Game here on Patreon. Quite a task to make one, imho. Most just are a good opportunity to harvest money while working on "the system" or other things "in the background" , means spending months on work that produce no fapp-able updates. Or they try to produce good stuff ("Big Brother") and ending lost in there own creation with much to much opend ends and paths an opportunites, so that nothing seems to fit in the end. Also, gameplay-wise most are simple grinding for stats or money until you have enough to unlock some event, which get tiresome fast. But do as you like, for now I have faith in you. At least you delivered two times already. =) btw - Where is the demo???

You're going to make mistakes, it's not going to go as planned but that's all part of the joy of game development. If you've reach the point where you feel such a radical change to the HnS is needed than go right ahead but even if you decide against it I highly encouraging you to try something knew, experiment and even if it doesn't go to plan learn something new about your craft

2018-06-28 02:04:55 +0000 UTCHonest feedback is exactly what I want! Actually, keeping the style is much easier to me because the framework is done and quite polished after two games. And if opinions are divided there's always the option to keep the story strong with a little more simulation elements! I never followed closely Splendid_O page, but I played some earlier versions of the game and liked a lot the way the sex sequences flow. Maybe it's possible to add more of that flow in a VN game!

2018-06-27 22:29:32 +0000 UTCUhm, you probably won't like what I'm about to say but I'll go for honest feedback, so.. Point_1: I love good art but I'm more a story kind of guy. A sandbox game with dynamic events can be interesting to develop and to look at, but for me there's almost no depth. I already know I'm gonna lose interest very quickly. H&S 1&2 were beautiful, interesting to play, fun, and had their hot moments. Compared to that a sandbox game will look (to me) incredibly shallow. You want to know a creator (that I support) that manage tons of written content and a clusterfuck of choices and consequences? Look Eva Kiss. I know writing is difficult and tiring, but it's worth it. Oh and take your time thinking options and alternatives, it will be worth it too. And always advertise your work as much as you can, the quality is there and people are going to see it. Point_2: I have to say it, Splendid_O is a milker of the worst species, bordering the scam. That guy does nothing and i mean *nothing* each month while making absurd amount of money. I assure you it atonishes me how that can keep going on. Want to know an honest and worthwhile creator with a similar, newer and far better game? Look Crushstation, don't miss the version that is coming the next days (wait for it). Or the framework that ThaumX is creating. Bye, goodnight :)
