Absolutely agree!! I think if we continue down this road, especially in the entertainment industry.. we will be at a net zero stake in just a couple of years..

Yes, politics and religion should be left out of entertainment unless it is a religious or political movie/documentary or musical album. Athletes and entertainers alike should keep their political opinions to themselves. Live and let live use to be a common phrase and I had someone tell me not long ago that is what got us where we are today. That's not true spare the rod and spoil the child has become more prevalent and political correctness only leads to a false entitlement. 99% of the world doesn't care what your sexual preferences or political opinion is as long as you don't try and force everyone else to agree or follow your ideology. Funny thing is all the people asking where all these extremists came from well the last two generations raised them. In the last 30 years respect for elders, military, police and even fire and medical personnel has all but gone away.

2025-04-02 04:23:07 +0000 UTCAmerican entertainment is suffering from the same problems the music industry is. Hollywood is not doing so well, and there are big reasons why. For starters the writers in Hollywood are crap. The majority of them are activists who would rather push their political agenda rather than write a coherent script. They have a checklist of DEI they must adhere to in order to have any project geeen lit, which hurts the product and turns off the majority of the viewers. There are countless shows with big budgets that end up tanking because the writing and acting is so bad. Americans want to be entertained…we want to take a break from the real world…instead we get politics forced down our throats…it’s very off putting. Is it the writers alone that are doing this, or is it the companies that fund Hollywood dictating things? Because more and more Hollywood has become propaganda rather than entertainment. It’s a big picture type thing and it goes beyond entertainment , so I’ll just leave that point where it is now. So here is the state of American entertainment now… there are no good new shows anymore, no good original shows, and they have destroyed Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, Wheel of Time, Marvel , DC, and classic Disney movies with their horrible reboots, bad writing and disrespect for the original content. And like the music industry, Hollywood doesn’t seem to have the ability to read the room. They stubbornly continue to produce crap even though they loose money. So many more Americans will continue to look elsewhere for entertainment and KDramas etc…will get more popular. Sadly we have talented actors here in America, but when the head of the snake is run by a bunch of incompetent people …they just don’t have anything to work with.
