Hey there dear patrons,
In this week's edition of the weekly post, we'll be diving into the next series of updates that are lined up for the Gavril T-Series Expansion Pack: Legacy Edition as well exciting information regarding the next Gavril T-Series Expansion Pack update.
We've seen Patreon's new post formatting features for a while now, but today's the first time that we played around with them. Let us know in the comments if you like the formatting! If you like it, we'll keep using it.
We're quite busy performing patches on the Legacy Edition. Throughout the patching process we changed the plan for what we're going to do with the next couple of patches (not updates, patches). The mod will be returning to BeamNG's mod repository with the next version, that still stands, though we've decided to clean the mod up and fix outstanding issues.
Version 2.1.4g will fix the adjustable fifth wheel upfit not working properly, and it will add basic fifth wheel tilt locking.
The following version is going to see improvements to the fifth wheel, so it more accurately reflects that of the remastered T-Series. This should improve connection behavior with the trailers.
The Legacy Edition will also see a full proper introduction of the PTO so you can better control hydraulic machinery like the frameless dump trailer. Dynamic Mirrors will also find their way to the mod
I would like to let you all know that you might see your configurations break slightly during the patching process. We will be working on adding in new coding techniques which might see slot types change slightly but will make the vehicle more polished in the end. I do apologize for any inconvenience this causes though. - Gregory, Dev & CEO
These are just a handful of a series of patches we want to publish over the coming weeks/months. Each patch will be small, with a handful of items, so it is easier for us to keep the pace up while also allowing us some breathing room. This nets us an advantage as we end up getting more time and better regularity.
There's been some work on the upcoming minor update for the Gavril T-Series Expansion Pack. We already made minor improvements to the TCX647 engine, added a new ecu for it, and added a new transmission.
You might have noticed that the TCX647 is underpowered at idle RPM. If you have an automated-manual transmission equipped and you put the vehicle in drive from a standstill whilst the air compressor is running, the engine will likely stall. In an effort to alleviate this, the idle RPM was raised from 600 to 700 RPM. This made the engine less likely to stall. It did, however, not fix it. Instead of outright fixing it though, we use it as an excuse for a piece of lore which will be featured in something we're cooking up. Stay tuned for that!
A secondary way to help alleviate the lack of idle torque is the addition of a patched ECM which raises the idle RPM to 750 RPM and boosts torque output below 1000 RPM by up to 25%.
A new transmission that's been added is the TS26D5C-580. It's almost identical to the already existing TS26D5-575 but it's both of a newer revision and it has a crawler (C) gear.
It being of a newer revision series means it could have improved stats compared to the prior revision series.
There are a few other items coming in the next update which we haven't gotten around to yet. Things such as hood mirrors and more sidestep options are going to be tackled later in the week.
