Hey there dear patrons,

In this week's edition of the weekly post, we get to show you the progress we have made on the Phase-IV interior of the Gavril T-Series. We also have an update on what the launch price will be for one of the products on the GMTI-X Store.

Let's dive right into it, shall we?

Gavril T-Series Expansion Pack

The topic most people will care about is the progress updates on the Gavril T-Series Expansion Pack. This week, we did some brainstorming on the Phase-IV Day-Cab interior featured with the project. We wanted to update the interior, but we weren't sure what to do exactly. After a bit of brainstorming, the lead developer sought that it is best to remodel the day-cab interior in its entirety. After comparing the options, from a plain and simple retexture to a remodel, the remodel was chosen. This will increase development times, especially since the 36" sleeper interior hasn't even seen the light of day yet in terms of development, so our original estimated projected date of release is no longer applicable. We are probably going to release the update in stages so people can enjoy a fixed version of the project whilst the finishing touches are being ironed out prior to focusing on other projects for a bit or moving to Phase-III stuff.

As you can see in the above image, there's a new model being worked on for the dashboard. The entire interior mesh will soon be just 1 mesh, instead of multiple separate meshes. This is much more optimized and just the better way to do things for BeamNG.drive. The Sleeper cab interiors are just 1 mesh and so are the interiors of the cars, except for the steering wheel, needles, shifters, pedals, and seats. Another major change is that now the entire interior will live off just 1 UV, and thus only 1 texture entry. This removes a total of at least 5 texture entries and thus 5 texture sets, significantly reducing the total file size of the project. Does this mean we can finally directly upload the project to the BeamNG repo? We certainly hope so.

Gavril T-Series Expansion Pack Lite Edition

Woah there, that's a new name! What is this? The Gavril T-Series Expansion Pack Lite Edition will be a lightweight little daughter to the Gavril T-Series Expansion Pack. This aims to do multiple things that the Gavril T-Series Expansion Pack can't, such as not taking advantage of file priorities which mean no conflicting files. This makes the Lite edition much more update-resilient. The downside is though that it will not feature a lot of the things that make the Gavril T-Series Expansion Pack so amazing, so no nifty features such as Jake brakes and retarders. It will also not feature many of the parts. So it's also a bit of a demo. Do note, that the Gavril T-Series Expansion Pack and the Gavril T-Series Expansion Pack Lite Edition *cannot* be used together. It's like fathers and daughters, they can't be a couple... It's just weird... So don't do it, Okay? No seriously, they will conflict and cause problems so just don't do it.

GMTI-X Store Updates

Ah, you remember the GMTI-X Store? Its launch is nearing and so will the merchandise! Anyway, we had mentioned that the launch price of the mug will be 24,95 EUR. Have we got some good news for you, the launch price will actually be reduced to 19,95 EUR! Add to that the initial launch sale, and you might get yourself some merch for a steal! Be careful though, stocks are limited and if you wait too long they could be gone for a while!

Final Note

This week has finally seen some active development days! We're hoping to ramp that up to pre-2022 levels and gain significantly more resources so we can really do next-level things! But those are thoughts for the future, right now we're focused on just getting things back on track after a time of neglect.
