Hey there dear patrons,
Welcome to our first weekly post for August 2022. This week, we will talk about where we were the past two weeks and show and discuss some new things.
For starters, we took a last-minute 2-week break from modding. It is the height of the summer holidays and we all want to be with our families and enjoy life. Thus, we took a 2-week break.
Gavril T-Series Recreational Vehicle
We have made little progress since we announced the Gavril T-Series Recreational Vehicle. We know that it will use the same exact frame as the 180" Sleeper already available. It will feature a fully fitted interior, potentially with a piece that can slide out the side to make the living area more prominent. We don't have a lot of details yet, but the main shape is there.
110" & 180" Sleeper Pack
We have started on the remainder of this pack. The 110" Sleeper, albeit still in the early stages, is now in semi-active development, as are the remaining frames. We do not have a model to show yet, however.
Gavril T-Series Expansion Pack
A few major things are planned for the upcoming update. A big list of additions as well as fixes and re-works should freshen up some of the older parts. The Air cleaners will be updated and will also receive a version with snorkels reaching up to the top of the cab, Aussie style. A 4" body lift along with a Righ-Hand Drive interior with KM/h gauges are also planned, so users can make an Australian Outback spec Gavril T-Series.
Some of the more technically involved drivers who really appreciate the special shift logic found with the Knightonn 16-Speed, TorqueMax 13, and 18-Speed transmissions, may enjoy a feature enhancement that may be coming with the upcoming update. TorqueMax transmissions may become Quick-Split gearboxes. Instead of needing to press the clutch, you need to release the throttle to split the gears. Not only that, the OBC will probably show the correct gear numbering as well.
A drop-in replacement for the Tacho2 app in-game may also be arriving. This drop-in replacement supports all the shift logic found in-game as well as in the Gavril T-Series Expansion Pack. A cleaner UI and more polishing are a good welcome.
Heavy-Haul Trailer Pack
We are about halfway through fixing the design flaws we noticed in the Lowboy trailer. We could show the result now, but we'd rather wait and tease the finished product instead.
400-Patron Special Announcement
We have finally decided what we want to do as a Patreon Showstopper. We have decided that we will make an as close as possible replica of the Knight Industries Two Thousand, aka K.I.T.T., or KITT, from the 1980's series Knight Rider. We aim to reproduce as many features as possible, such as the mixed drivetrain with the V8 and the turbine, as well as making the car nearly indestructible from most impacts.
Closing Notes
That's it for today folks. We hope that we have informed you for now. We are unsure what we will be doing next week, but we are sure that you will like the new information. Hopefully, we will have some new things in-game!
Yours sincerely,
- the GTG Mods Team
