Gavril T-Series Expansion Pack | Progress Update

Hey there dear Patrons,

In this weekly post, we'll show you all the new bits and pieces that we added with the upcoming version.

Let's get to it, shall we?

First and foremost, Public 2.1.1x comes with two (2) brand-new configurations. The T75 'Shaler' (Long) (M), and the T75 'Blue Knight' (Long) (M). The Shaler is fitted with a 650 bhp Gavril TUX16 16.4L I6 Diesel engine mated to the TorqueMax 13-Speed Manual. The Blue Knight is fitted with a 500 bhp Gavril TUX16 16.4L I6 Diesel Engine mated with the TorqueMax 18-Speed Manual. Both of the configurations come equipped with the brand-new 60" sleeper. The Shaler has the Low-Roof variant, while the Blue Knight has the Stand-Up variant.

We also added a brand-new part; the Turbo Wing. It's finally here, and in our opinion, it looks amazing. It turned out better than we expected. The rivets and bolts are actually 3D modeled, considering their size. We found an acceptable tris-count of less than 7K, which is a number we're very satisfied with.

This update, however, isn't small in file size. It nearly adds an additional 100MB to the mod. That's a disadvantage with high-quality textures.

We shall not forget that we have made quite a bit of minor improvements to the mod. The TorqueMax 18-Speed finally has proper gear ratios, and the TorqueMax 13-Speed got the new shift-logic treatment. They basically have the same ratios, except the 13-Speed doesn't have splittable gears in Low-Range.

We've also added a new set of horns; the Longhorn Horn. They're bigger and longer than the ones we're used to seeing on the T-Series. In the future, we'll implement more horns and horn sounds.

We've also added a new-ish bumper. We're saying 'ish' because we've actually had the model for a while, but forgot to actually implement it. It's now implemented, meaning you can select the bull-bar on a more modern wedged style bumper.

Among the fixes is the radiator leak bug, and the faulty power steering on the T85 when the front-rear steering axle is selected and the user is using a steering wheel.

We also slightly adjusted the Sun Visor jbeams to fix a slight deformation issue on the interior.

Anyway, that's it for this week. The update is now undergoing testing and should be available on our website by November 4th.
