Gavril Barstow F2 | Progress Update

Hey there dear Patrons,

In today's weekly post, we'll show you some of the new stuff that has made it in-game. If you recall from the previous posts, you may know we were working on adding some racing related parts to the Barstow F2.

Let's start with the sad news; we had planned to do more than we could with this update. No worries, we'll just make a Racing Parts Pt.3 update instead. There's going to be another drag racing parts update anyway in the future, as well as other crazy and fun parts to play with. So rest your hearts, we've got plenty of things ready for the future as we ease into the 1-Year Anniversary of the mod as well as entering the 2nd year of development. Phew, time flies fast.

Not everything has been jbeamed yet, such as the rear canards and the sideskirts. Those, however, will be ready in before release. We had to ditch a lot of things we initially wanted to implement with this update, but due to time constraints (we got lives too, you know) a lot didn't make it. Making this update seem smaller than usual.

Once done, all the extreme aero parts will probably make this car the top downforce generator of all cars in the game. You can see just how much the car squats at 200Mph if you look at the first image.

There's still one part we want to add to the car which is the addition of the fuel-cell. The regular fuel tank is both too big and clips with the underbody model, so it's not truly ideal.

This update also brings with it a new version of the GTG Commons Mod, so you'll have to update both (which is automatic if you are using the in-game mod browser). Among the fixes on the F2-Type Chassis is splatter of a bug that existed since the release of the Independent Rear Suspension that prevented anyone from using larger wheel sizes or bringing a wider track width. That's now fixed, and the IRS allows you to widen your rear track up to 0.05m in-game. Which is exactly the same as the front.

Due to the time constraints, we weren't able to produce a video. It's worth mentioning that we won't make any new update videos until Gregory got has his new studio equipment in that he ordered for both content creation on his gaming channel as well as the videos on the GTG Mods Team channel.
