Also in another book series, it is called The Paranormals Blood World series by Tamsin Baker and Amelia Shaw. Again, Rated R Spicy, but this one was interesting about Vampires/Sleep and Sun light. So it is explained that vampires can go out in the sun, but the more they "act human" and go out in the daytime, they actually gain human "weaknesses". They become weak, unless they choose to keep out of the sun, and only go out at night.

Butler" (book 5, 8, 12 about Vampires) and book series called "Vampire Beloved series" (all vampire inspired, same author, both series are connected). I will warn that it is Rated R Spicy Spicy. In the books they say that when the sun starts to come up, vampires can feel it rise and can't fight off the sleep. Only once much much older, I wanna say somewhere above 100 years of age (could be wrong), can they start to fight off the sleep, but newbie vamps can't fight it.
