Those of you that have been here for awhile, or at least have looked at all of the prior releases, should be familiar with this fighter; the TE-62 Navaja. However; this particular print is the new TE-62 Navava B variant version. This new version of the Navaja has some added greeble details, new vented engines (indicating more powerful later model engine upgrades), and 2 new heavy pulse cannons added to the wings. I always liked the orignal Navaja and the New Navaja B is a chance to revisit the design with some new addtions for an even nicer model for painting. After a few scuffed attempts (due to going through the zeroing in on getting the Saturn S dialed in) I finally have a solid print of this one.
The print does have some dings (some from pulling the heavier supports) and bits I plan to sand (always good to get a coat of paint down to see areas you might miss in the resin so you can do further sanding before a re-spray). None the less, the print looks really good and should look even better with a proper paint job after that sanding and touch up.
Like the TE-60 Stiletto C-1, this will get an STL only release initially, and possibly a box art bundle later. I plan to run a few more prints adjusting supports, as the Saturn does seem to need more supports than the Mars 2 ever did so I want to find a good balance between the two machines. Another words, I don't want to over support if I don't have to but it's always safer. As I continue testing and adjusting to the Saturn, I may also drop some updated and adjusted supports for the Stiletto C-1 as well. Again folks, if you're experiencing repeated failures on any of these that you can't rectify, please let me know.
More on the the way!
