New paints, prints, and STLs will be coming
Added 2023-05-15 17:10:10 +0000 UTCThis update comes later than I planned as the intended print-a-palooza ended up dial-in-the-Saturn-a-palooza. That said, that's fine. While dialing in my Saturn S was a bit of a pain in the ass, especially with the temperatures bloody still dipping quite a lot in the evenings (I did print quite a lot into the night) I have finally honed in on settings that seem to work well, including to my surprise using 180 lift speed "vroom" settings. The Saturn, as any of you Saturn owners already know, has a lot more suction forces than the smaller printers have, so I've been more heavily supporting my prints adjusting to the new machine. Unfortunately the Mars 2 needs a new LCD yet again, so for now it's the Saturn running prints.
So, the photo above shows 2 of the new TE-72 Lancea fighters flanking the new TE-60 Stiletto C-1 variant (in the middle). The #2 pencil and sharpening sanding tool are there for doing paint chipping effects (I'll have some photos in a pending post going into a little more detail about this).
Soon to follow this post I have new paints to share, a return to some of the tutorial posts, new prints of the newer fighters, and soon new STLs will be dropping. I hadn't expected the Saturn to be such a pain this year (as I did print with it last year with little issue), however I think I might have ended up with a bad bottle of Anycubic gray resin or the Saturn just wasn't having it. Seems the Saturn is fine with Elegoo's own standard gray so more printing to come.
