Zbrush renders of pending new space fighters.
Added 2022-07-29 12:22:28 +0000 UTCThese are the two new fighters I noted in a prior post. For now I'm just dropping a collection of quick Zbrush renders but there are indeed 3D prints of both of them now with photos to follow.
The fighters are as follows (the names and model numbers are potentially temporary though the Möwe is set as the name for the first one);
SF-123B Möwe Space and atmospheric strike fighter. Möwe is German for Gull and that naming convention should be obvious considering the aesthetics. I grabbed this name from an older Zbrush fighter design as it really fits this fighter far more appropriately.
Jeinel GS-111 Gunship manufactured by Jeinel, hence the naming convention. May change the name but this is it for the moment. This one is actually an older Zbrush model I decided to return to and see where I could take it further.

The Möwe resulted in a perfect print, so I'm quite happy with that, I hoped it would as I like how the Zbrush model turned out. The only tweak is I plan to make the official release print size larger as I felt the test print was too small. The Jeinel still needs tweaking to the supports from what I can see but the latest print (3 test prints so far with the first two having some layer striation shifting issues) turned out promising save doing more tweaking with the supports.
I'm leaning toward making the Möwe August's initial release and I may release the STL files early and delay the full official box art release to later in the month (as the art has to be produced and all). However I approach it, I do feel the SF-123B Möwe will be next month along with some other potential goodies (Including the painting tutorial. The Navaja, I chose to paint, is looking pretty slick), time permitting (still have a lot of freelance work as well).
More to come for sure but this morning, a peek at these new fighters with some quick updates for next month. I hope everyone's safe and enjoying printing.

My thanks! They are also part of The Three Nine Line, but obviously made by different manufacturers than the TE fighters are. I quite like how the Möwe turned out with it's organic vibe and bird-like wings. I've been silly busy with quite a lot outside the Patreon work so I didn't have the time I had hoped to get to new stuff like this. None the less, I did manage to get these along and plan to produce more new stuff soon.
