Happy New Year!

Well, I can't say 2021 was a swell year, nor was the year prior, a mess of a global pandemic kind of changes things and now, for better or worse, we seem to have a new normal. That said, with a positive outlook, you forge ahead to make the things happen that you want to happen.

This year I started something, I honestly hadn't seen myself doing a few years prior; making my own little garage kit replicas. Literally having learned about resin printing a month before the Black Friday sales last year, I decided to take a leap and jump into 3D printing head first and buy my first resin printer; a Qidi Tech Shadow 6.0. I spent the following summer, this year, reacquainting myself with Zbrush and kind of unexpectedly arriving at sci-fi spacecraft designs as the first original content I would try my hand at printing. I unboxed the Qidi Tech in August and what followed was a marathon crash course learning how to print the fighter designs those of you supporting this pateron are now quite familiar with. It didn't always go smoothly but... it did move forward, and it will continue to move forward. I found myself so creatively recharged by resin printing that I eventually picked up a second printer; an Elegoo Mars 2 Mono. I couldn't be happier I did so as the Elegoo is killing it with simply gorgeous prints.

With continued and growing support, hopefully all of this will continue forward and continue to grow. So, to those of you, old and new, that have jumped on board, I continue to be grateful and thank you for for supporting the work. The 3D printing tier finally launched this month, and the first fighter is now available to download the STL files and print. I hope those of you that have downloaded the files have been able to print the fighter because, please, by all means share photos of your prints, painted or unpainted, here and elsewhere on the web. It does seem my painted prints have gotten the most attention and that's not unsurprising, once you paint them you have more a model than simply a resin miniature (which is cool as well). Once more people print and paint them, the more it will likely help grow from here. I very much look forward to seeing other modelers paint them beyond myself. It's always exciting to see how skilled modelers tackle painting a subject.

So, with January 2022 around the corner what lies ahead? Next up, the TE-52 Ballista fighter will drop early next month. A preview of the final box art is above. More fighters will follow and, likely, other subject for potential 3D printing as well. There will be more fighters for sure but I plan to dive into designing other 3D content as well, at some point we'll have to see about some Theos KE Polemos spider tanks or combat FOILs.

Additionally, there will be new 2D illustration and concept work next year as well. While it may seem I haven't been doing any 2D artwork, this isn't the case. Palladium Books has kept me busy working on art for an entire book so I've been drawing, I simply can't share any of it unfortunately (not until publication). I have managed to sneak in some TKP art, in-between the Palladium work and the 3D printing though (and, of course, the 4K art packages for the fighter releases as well). I have a growing pile of Theos weapon designs I'll be dropping here soon and a preview of one of them above. We have a TKP sub machine shettier (SABOT firing weaponry) low-res preview. I'll post the full res PNG file and likely the un-flattened PSD next month.

2021, I expect for many of us, was another year we likely want to leave in the rear view. It's again time to move forward into a new year and make new (hopefully great) things happen. Again, I thank you all for the support and to those of you that plan to stay, there's more to come and a lot planned. Let's all see how far we can take this thing and, hopefully see it continue to grow.

May everyone have a Happy New Year! Stay safe out there folks and thanks for looking!

Happy New Year! Happy New Year!
