Quick update check in...

Apologies for the seemingly late post this month but you'll understand why in a moment. Early in the month I got an e-mail (which I saw a few days after it was sent) from Patreon's Trust and Safety team informing me my page was switched and locked to the adult content setting... ? O_o Needless to say I was perplexed and immediately did try to send an inquiry as to what was flagged and why. I decided not to post anything about it and just wait to see what was flagged because, considering the content I have posted, this would be a big problem if I was always having to second guess every little thing I posted. Well, the wait started to take longer than it should so I sent another request to find out why the page was flagged.

Apparently my initial request didn't go through because after a second inquiry I sent (a few days back) I got a pretty swift reply (yesterday)... it was simply an error/mistake.  Whatever happened regarding my first attempt to resolve this, I'm happy the reply was swift and courteous the second time round with instant resolution. Now I have the option to toggle to adult on my own, which is the way it should be.

To be clear, I have zero issue with adult content and the moment I post something that is, per Patreon's guidelines, adult or NSFW, I'll certainly change the page to adult. Why is this a big deal? Well, once your page is switched to adult you're removed from Patreon's search engines and anyone not logged in is confronted with an 18 and over warning hiding the content from view. Not an issue if it is your intent to focus on NSFW content but problematic if you're just starting your Patreon page, and additionally, you're also not actually producing any NSFW content. Kinda of confusing and off putting for potential new Patreons that know nothing about your work.

Everything is back in order now though so I'll do a bit of catch up posting shortly. My thanks to the folks at Patreon for swiftly sorting this out, again I have a feeling my initial inquiry never made it through.
