Feng Shui Engineering: Interludes

Sorry if you thought this was a chapter - chapter 50 is still being edited. Probably will come out together with chapter 51.

Let's do a bit of "market research" or whatever. Question is about the use of interludes in Feng Shui Engineering. An interlude is a chapter that does not directly follow the previous plot progression and viewpoint characters, instead being used to give a window into a part of the world that would otherwise remain hidden, or give a different perspective on events, or set up dramatic irony, or a dozen other things. I personally would consider prologue to be a type of interlude as well, since it doesn't directly connect to the plot.

Do you like them? Do you think they are cringe? I've heard from many other people who read online stories that the interludes are usually very out of place, and I don't know if I did it differently.

Note: I will continue to write whatever I vibe with, so answer honestly - this poll is mostly academic.

This is a multiple choice poll, since I don't want to spam you with multiple polls for every sub question. There are three core questions: your attitude towards interludes, how many you read, and wherever you want more/less of them.

Comments

I do think the additional context an alternate PoV provides is important to establishing a setting, whether it's done through interludes or as side content.

Can't edit a poll in progress so I declare that people who like interludes in general do not exist.
