Not Quite Yet

“Hey now buddy, no cheating alright? Measuring from head to toe doesn't mean you're supposed to stand on your toes, silly. Now let's see... Hmm... Doesn't seem much taller than last time... Guess you humans really do grow slowly huh, sorry champ... Oh well then, who wants some breakfast? Gotta eat lots to grow lots!... Oh, right, maybe a change first hm?”

Here it is you guys, the piece I've been working on while finishing up our friend's move, huzzah!

I've been wanting to work out a scene with this topic for a while, I just think there's something particularly cute about this premise ^^
The only issue I had with it was the question of how to depict the human's size.
Do anthros have the same measurements and units as humans? If yes, does that mean they think a 1,80m human is a toddler due to the "small" size? Or is it simply skewed and made for a tall society, meaning that it's actually just like 1,20anthrometers? Basically, are humans small, or are anthros just tall? O.o

Ultimately, I wanted to leave that up to imagination, and went for these cute “goal”-stickers instead, which I think gets the idea across just fine, without annoying anybody with odd technicalities. xD

The scene itself I wanted to keep themed (I like giraffes), though at the same time simple enough to allow the wall decoration in the foreground to become a primary focus point.

Honestly really proud of my output, these full scenes eat up a lot of my energy, but between everyday drama, my insomnia and unexpected rl-stuff, I still managed to dish this one out PLUS a public sketch, and I don't even feel all too burned out.
I think that's the power of having supporters backing me up.
I'm just so much more motivated when I know people are looking forward to these pics, and the results are that much more satisfying every single time.

Next up, sometime within the next 24 hours, will be our monthly FCFS-contest, where whoever manages to comment first will be able to give me any idea of their choice to draw!
