This month I will be painting the Dragonfly Shinto. Before committing though I wanted to have you all review my paint selection and basing plan. Let me know what you think or what I might change :) Let's make this the best darn Dragonfly Shinto ever.

And before you say "Wow KoA, you are going to paint it better than this?"

No, no I am not. First of all that's a resin mini, not the production version. For instance that detail on his beak is lost (the nose bit). But beyond that handicap I'm just an average dude, not some painting god. - BTW most any painted CMON mini you see including this one (HATE, The Others, RISING SUN, etc.) was painted by Rogland Studio - dude is amazing and has a pretty cool FB/Instagram feed.

Anyway, the initial paint list is below. Feel free to look up the colors to get a sense of what they look like if you are unsure :) My initial plan involves attempting NMM (again) but we'll see how it goes. I'm mostly worried about the swords again. There's just so little detail on the production miniatures they might as well be flat sticks.

For the feathers, I plan on utilizing the Agrax Earthshade heavy on the bottom, lightly/splotchy in the middle, and transferring to the Seraphim Sepia at the top.

With the base, I plan on keeping the clans with similar bases to other clan members but with less space I hope to cut a yellow flower bush for this guy and put a few small patches.
