suggest MOTM design prompts!
Added 2022-04-29 22:09:54 +0000 UTCi once again invite you all to suggest design prompts for future MOTM polls! each month, all $5+ patrons get to vote on the next "monster of the month," and all the poll options are based on patron suggestions, so this is a fun chance to influence what i draw and design.
you can suggest stuff like:
- types of monsters and supernatural beings from myth, legend, and folklore. can be well-known or obscure; ancient or modern.
- classic monster tropes. ("something that escaped from a secret lab")
- themes like elements, abstract concepts, weather, seasons, constellations, tarot cards, emotions, virtues, sins, etc. (hurricane, desert, dawn, justice, grief, envy, the magician, hunger)
- descriptive aesthetics. (underworld wedding, haunted circus, dressed in sorrow, forbidden ritual)
- evocative titles, epithets, and monikers. (the outcast, the prince of mist, the one from the ocean, he who remembers)
- various monstrous features. (multiple arms, eyes in all the wrong places, an insectoid exoskeleton, scales made of porcelain)
- anything else you can think of! (maybe browse past MOTM polls for inspiration/examples?)
you can make as many suggestions as you want, and come back to add more at any time. comment below (or send me a DM, in case you want to stay anonymous). i'm really excited to see what kind of ideas you all come up with -- the more suggestions i get, the better!
(disclaimer: please note that i do retain the right to refuse any suggestion if, for whatever reason, i'd feel uncomfortable drawing it. entering a suggestion does not guarantee that i will draw it. i might also tweak suggestions, combine them with others, simplify it if it's very specific/detailed, elaborate on it if it’s very vague, etc.)
