Question post for HTM13: Expressions & Body Language

i'll discuss ways to convey a monster's mood, feelings, demeanour, and personality through facial expressions, gestures, posture, stance, and angles. we'll look at how one might adapt human expressions to non-human monsters, and non-human ways to emote to human-like characters. we'll draw inspiration from both humans and different animals, and consider subtlety vs exaggeration, 'realism' vs stylisation.
comment below with your questions on this topic -- tell me what sort of info, tips, and ideas you would find most helpful or interesting. which expressions do you find the most difficult to draw? do you struggle with portraying a certain type of personality? do you never know what to do with your character's hands? are you more interested in my thoughts on non-human and feral ways to emote -- or in making a monstrous creature more relatable by giving them surprisingly human-like expressions? comment below, and i'll try my best to address your questions & thoughts in the upcoming tutorial!
