Added 2021-02-11 16:58:58 +0000 UTCanother year of monster of the month paintings = another compilation! it's so satisfying to see all the 2020 MOTM paintings side by side like this, partly because it makes me feel accomplished to review my work over a period of time ... and partly because my brain likes seeing stuff arranged in a neat and orderly fashion.
all of these designs were based on patron suggestions and some of them really led me to challenge myself -- i don't often paint bioluminescence or neon light, for example, and designing the eldritch angel was such an ambitious (but fun!) project unto itself. i think my personal favourite is the sabertoothed horror, but i would also love to know: which of the 2020 monsters do you like the most, and why?
