Looking forward to part 2!! I'm glad things worked out to where you've been able to get back into each others lives again. I totally get that situation where the friendship needs to end so you can both can grow and become who you need to be. I had a very similar situation with a friend of mine where we separated for a long time, grew, and are now good friends again several years later. :)

2023-08-05 22:51:14 +0000 UTCIt's great that you two have been able to relieve your friendship, despite still being very different from one another. I have noticed that while it's fairly easy to be friends with people who are similar to me, some of the most meaningful friendships come with people who are different in a few significant ways. Right now, my best friend is 11 years younger than I am, and his personality is almost completely the opposite of mine, but he helps me adjust my perception of things on occasion, and has helped me gain more empathy towards others than I otherwise may have had.
