this experiment was so much fun and turned out so striking that i already want to make more pieces like this. the original idea was to render the characters in greyscale and then add more colour through overlays and other layer effects. but it looked so cool against the bright background and with the stylised jewellery that i decided to keep their bodies monochrome (the greys actually have a subtle green undertone).
