Added 2023-06-02 22:18:13 +0000 UTCHey everyone! This week's story is Warhound, and some of you might remember its premise from the most recent patron poll. It didn't win, but the idea has been burning within me ever since, and I decided to write it! So:
Sartha Thrace is an ace mech pilot and rebel hero who now finds herself on the side of the Imperial forces. As she heads into battle, this contradiction starts to eat at her - but her mysterious, beloved Handler knows exactly how to keep her in check. And when they get back to base? Well, it's time for the Hound's reward...
Perhaps unsurprisingly given that description, this story features some pretty twisted dynamics. Brainwashing, betrayal, emotional manipulation, dark petplay... and some gunplay. You have been warned!
As you might notice, this story is a departure from my usual style. I wanted to experiment a bit with tense and narrative voice, and I'm very pleased with the result. Please let me know how you like it! Would you like more stories in this style? In this fictional universe? Perhaps a sequel? Please, make your voices hard - I'm more interested in feedback than ever!
