Hey everybody,

Why this, and why now?

Put simply, I needed to devise a character for a project. Since it only required the character depicted in a chibi/mini form, I worked out her design sheet with similar proportions. In hindsight, I wish I'd drawn her full size, since she's actually intended to be a glorious full-bodied sexy gal, but because of my starting point, the drawbacks of depicting her this way didn't occur to me until I was practically finished.

I'm already drawing a full bodied version of the character in a pinup shot with some nice dynamism and booty-action. So, that should be up soon.

To get a better feel for her properly proportioned bod, I slapped together this adjusted frontal design shot:

Is she merdy enough?

Project Mina-Alone with Her Thots.

Okay, I'll confess, the project started as a tangent. Mina requested I contribute a pinup sticker design of her OC for an upcoming Print Fest offering. In classic Ecchi fashion, I ended up ignoring her request, and my mind wandered onto a different idea.

Similar to the recent Priscylla Meloncholly image, I sketched her OC sitting at her drafting desk, lost in dirty thoughts. In this case though, she'd be surrounded by a cloud of hot fantasy-themed girls, in chibi form, given shape by her art and imagination, and given life through the love and attention of her fans. It'd make for a nice print.

Like Mina's OC, my imagination got the better of me.

But who are the cuties surrounding Mina? Since they're supposed to be aspects of her imagination, they'd need to be original characters. For various reasons, the real Queen Mina hasn't been very active creating OCs lately. That meant I'd either need to dredge the early 2000s-era Cutepet fantasy designs from their peaceful slumber, or come up with something new. I figured that chibi designs would be easy enough. No problem! How long could that take?

A week passed as I focused on OC #1: Mermaid Princess, researching the subject, drawing various outfits, color schemes, and anatomical arrangements, in hopes of pulling together a design that felt fresh, but also appropriately steeped in mermaid cliches.

I ended up with this design that pulled from everything, but felt strayed too far from the "classical mermaid" intention.

Clearly, as I succumbed to design-hell, finishing the Thots picture in a week wasn't happening. I'd gifted myself a Trojan matryoshka box in the shape of a chibi anime girl. When I opened it, months of work spilled out—a fantasy medley of characters with all their accompanying design work and questions that needed answering. It's an interesting project, yes, but committing to it would derail every other half-finished project on my slate.

And that's pretty much where things stand. I bit off more than I can chew with this one. I'll finish up what's already in my mouth, and put the rest of the women back in the fridge for later. The New Plan

Periodically develop each of the maybe five-or-so OCs along with Mina. Depict the characters in a pinup shot, and then use the designs to built the full Thots image. Estimated completion date on the project: 2026-2027. See you then.

Mermaid Princess has a Friend

Keen-eyed observers will spot the little fish-person on the mermaid princess character sheet. I thought it might be fun if the princess had a little accessory fish budette swimming around with her. It could be like a remora, keeping her clean, orbiting, and attaching herself onto the princess. Why not make her into a maid or servant?

Mer-maid?

Odette's transformation filled her with wonder, but the harsh realities of underwater life left her disillusioned. Fate intervened, binding her to Princess Coral in seaborne servitude that was as degrading as it was intimate. Despite the simmering annoyances that often bubbled beneath Odette's surface, and even as she chafed under the princess's imperious demands and capricious mood, her fascination with the mer-princess glimmered like the iridescent scales that adorned Coral's… intimate places.

Each day, she tended to the princess with meticulous care, her lips and tongue tracing every delicate curve and enticing contour of Coral's body, cleaning her with tender kisses—her thoughts a heady mix of annoyance, reverence, and longing. She regretted everything, but despite that, Coral really was the best.

Mostly, I just love the idea of a maid-girl tasked with licking and nibbling every inch of the princess, every day.
