It was finally confirmed that Mariah was lying π€£ by one of her old management lol itβs on a podcast. He basically wanted her for his movie, but when he said it was to play his mother, it made her insecurities take a nosedive. She was already dealing with a whole bunch of stuff (being dropped by her label and Luis Miguel wanted to break up with her), started coping with it by hitting the liquor bottle a lot. So she started chasing Eminem, I think to prove to herself she still had it in her to get whatever guy she wanted, and he just went with it.
