SKETCHBOOK: Nian (re)design sketches // sfw
Added 2018-07-18 21:19:19 +0000 UTCnian is going to be featured in july's OC spotlight but the thing is, he's undergone a bit of a re-design since the drawing you saw in the poll. i created this character like 2? years ago and i've actually been struggling with his design from the start, i had some vague ideas but found it really difficult to finalize what i wanted him to look like. i thought i was happy with the last iteration (which btw can be seen in full here, on my sfw tumblr), but ... something about it just didn't click for me. now i am finally pleased with his design, though--it's similar in some ways and very different in others, but i think you can sort of see how the last idea evolved into the above sketches?
