He was so hated and berated early on that he was near devastated. (rhyming not intentional) He did actually leave. He was talked back, but it took some time before he was embraced by fans. It breaks my heart to see or even think of how torn up he obviously was when no one came to his lives, but he said it was okay. Also, he never received any fan mail. The first time Jimin delivers mail to him, you see absolute surprise turn to pure elation. He is sunshine treasure to ARMY now. Spend some time with him.
