forgot to add nope the thing about jungkook smoking was not clickbait he does smoke, so does rm, so does V, and probably suga and jimin too im not sure about j-hope or jin. v was "caught" smoking at the grammys, rm posted a picture of him smoking on his ig story and jk was "caught" smoking with his friends outside a american restaurant when he was filming for his album golden. all 7 members also have tattoos jungkook and jimin having the most. they all drink and theres many clips and photos of them drunk. they each hinted at having girlfriends over the years and admitted to it about past girlfriends before being in bts (fyi bighit does NOT ban them from dating many 2013 armys actually knew jungkook was dating at the time but they eventually broke up. bighit barely had any kpop rules they had logical ones like a curfew until they turned of age which they wouldve had with their parents anyway had they stayed with them as normal students. idk about other groups in hybe since theyre all under different labels as hybes a corporation with many labels under it hybe does not control the artists each label has its own system some follow kpop rules some dont some follow a few etc but the fact is for bts specifically they were never banned and arent currently banned from dating they just decide to keep it private for privacy they do the same for family and non famous friends) theyre very goofy guys and down to earth humble but they also do not like nor do they follow "kpop" rules which is why they surpassed so many groups before them and why 4th generation and 5th generation kpop are much freer in music, interviews, contents, on social medias etc bts normalized that shift. of course none are like western artist theyre not as crude or as direct but theres a HUGE difference between modesty and being forced to behave a certain way. also keep in mind some "kpop rules" are literal laws in korea not just for the kpop industry. example smoking weed is illegal to the point of if korean citizens go to the u.s or anywhere weed is legal and they smoke it in a legal country when they go back to korea they are allowed to drug test you and if weed is in your system you will go to jail as if you smoked in korea this is for ALL citizens same with gambling in las vegas or atlantic city. but drinking is even encouraged in korean culture and smoking cigarettes is normalized as well. one thing bts especially jungkook is helping normalize is tattoos. tattoos arent illegal but tattooing/owning a tattoo shop is illegal in korea because the history around tattoos in asia especially korea and japan is gangs were the only ones who got tattoos the yakuza japanese version and the korean version Jopok both basically are mafia. so the older generations dont like tattoos but its becoming more normalized by the younger generations and high profiles like bts getting tattoos and showing them off proudly to the public will help tattooing become legalized eventually. right now you need a doctorate to become a tattoo artist and majority do not have that degree.

btw bts has SO MANY sexual lyrics/innuendos in their songs in group songs too. i suggest reacting to converse high. its r&b/popish so you may not like the song and its a love song but the rap line were wild in that song so id say focus on the raps most. bts never proclaimed to be pg or clean. its not their fault their poppy pop hits were the ones to go viral but theres so much besides that that i think youre not realizing yet especially since you dont know timeframes, in depth history on bts or kpop or how the media literally lies about korean music industry because theyre too lazy to get a proper translator and ask the koreans themselves how they feel about kpop, bts and the music system or the comparisons to the school system. like ive seen so many claim "kpop idols are suffering cause they have to practice 12 hours a day" when in reality the idols chose this knowing how it was gonna be from the previous generations also kids study 15 hours a day in regular school so if you look from the kids perspective "i wanna be a singer/artist i dont want to spend my childhood studying only when im not even working towards my dream i should become a idol instead its the same amount of hard work and hours just more physical" like if you really research you see very little difference between the idol trainee vs regular korean student life. and like the framing of "idols are killing themselves cause of the industry" when korean has the highest suicide rate in the world among students 10 - 19 years old and theres been maybe 5 - 8 kpop idol suicides. its all awful everyone can agree on that but to try to paint kpop industry as the worst of the worst and imply theyll be better off as a normal kid shows the people offering their "advice" or "concern" dont know anything about korea. they also dont go into detail on why kpop seems so cookie cutter like kids music and its not cause its geared to kids like disney is. its cause of censorship laws in korea along with the practices of certain labels (not every label is the same many dont censor the idols and the idols just dont perform on certain places like on tv. also the fact that most groups have gotten songs banned on korean tv meaning they werent clean enough. western standards would make it seem simple or done before uninteresting but in korea many kpop songs are revolutionary daring brave etc. sorry for ranting again idk i love your reactions maybe since you have patreon you can do non music reactions and react to like informational videos to learn more about korean music and korea in general. if you want of course but i think itll be helpful so youre not confused and waiting for a explanation that may not come or you may miss. bts have gotten so many songs banned on tv its like a tradition armys waiting to see if the songs pass the censorship test when the tv stations release what songs are eligible to be performed on tv. rm had most of his banned from tv from his most recent album it was very funny. anyways ill end this with another request please react to bts spring day music video AND Italian army's video called what you still dont know about bts spring day (please dont skip parts of this video also it is confirmed in a vague way because they literally can not say yes the way we can just confirm in western countries youll understand more when you watch the Italian explained video but just know the victims families confirmed it as well as said bts visited them in 2014 and donated to them half of their yearly earnings for that year 2014 when they were mostly broke and on the verge of bankruptcy. the victims families came out and said this years later defending bts to the public who was believing a smear campaign and also said theyve been praying for bts to succeed ever since.) both jin hinted at it in a interview in 2020 and the producer that collabs with them on a lot of their group songs also confirmed it in a tv program/interview. but again it wont ever be a full "yes it was" because it could be dangerous to say so directly as many people involved are still employed in very high places way higher than artists/idols are in society.
