I want to explain why there have been changes to Mel's hair and skin:

1. As you can see above, Mel is a Genesis 9 model, while the hair asset I initially used, called Adena, is only compatible with Genesis 8. This required a conversion method, as you can see in the image. After the conversion was successful, there was a drastic increase in the file size, as indicated by the arrow, to 105,042 KB. This is abnormal and caused the system to become heavy. Normally, a scene with five characters (depending on the environment) does not exceed 20,000 KB on average. So it was clear that this was a bug in Daz that I couldn't fix for months. It's actually happening with all Genesis 9 models that still use Genesis 8 hair, but not as much as in this case.

2. Finally, about two weeks ago, I found a solution (as shown in picture number two). I saw a little clip from someone's YouTube video (unfortunately I forget who it was, but big thanks to him) that explained how to use Genesis 8 hair on Genesis 9 without converting it, as was done before. Instead, the hair should be imported as separate pieces and adjusted to fit the shape of the head. Although this takes a few more steps, the file size is dramatically reduced to just 383 KB, making the system much lighter. It's crazy, right? lol. But in the end, I now have no problem at all using this Adena hair or any other Genesis 8 hair in Genesis 9.

3. Mouth problem: There was an error as seen in the last image. This problem is caused by the work of the skin artist on Mel's model. I didn't notice it at first because it wasn't visible, but it happened. I don't think it's a big deal, though, because it's inside the mouth. If it gets caught on camera, I'll fix it in Photoshop. So if you want to go back to the pale version of Mel, that's fine.
I am taking a vote to see what you prefer, please make sure you participate. The results of the vote will guide me in changing some earlier renders, specifically the final scene in Episode 6B (the big meeting scene). Updating these renders is not a problem since there aren't many images to change.
PS: The latest update on my work is that the animation quality improvement is almost complete, so it won't take much longer to finish. I think I can start writing episode 6B tomorrow.
Thank you for your attention and support, especially to our new members🙂.
I wish you all a wonderful weekend. :)
