November progress report

I want to keep you informed about what I'm doing to make Comic Rocket into the awesome service I envision, but at the same time I don't want to spam you. So I'm trying to do monthly progress reports. And the Comic Rocket progress report for November is out now!

I made huge changes to Comic Rocket this month. But those changes are all supposed to just quietly do their jobs, so you may not notice anything. I wrote up all the details in the progress report.

Also, I have a question for you! I want to switch to Patreon's "Charge Up Front" billing model, mostly so I can offer annual billing. As far as I can tell, that should have very little effect on you as an existing patron. Do you know any reason why I shouldn't make this billing change?

This month I also launched the new Comic Rocket Shop. I've been adding new items every week because that was fun. So if you looked at it when I first launched it you might go take another look. And if you have any graphic design tips for me, I'm happy to listen. My degree in Computer Science did not prepare me for designing t-shirts. 😅

If you want more frequent updates, you can use Comic Rocket itself to follow the Comic Rocket blog, or follow me on Twitter.

Comments

Honestly, I'm surprised Charge Up Front isn't the default model for all Patreons -- anything else makes it so easy to sign up, enjoy a bunch of locked content, and then leave without paying! (Not so much an issue for this account, but for most *webcomic* Patreons...) So yeah, I don't know any reason not to switch. I enabled it as soon as it was available, and it's never been a problem.
