Do you think we could see the skulls on the Golden Company banners used in a blood magic ritual? Iirc there’s a few blackfyre/Targ skulls on there and there is power in kings blood. I don’t think FAegon would ever try and do a ritual but a desperate Jon Con might facing a Grey Scale plague

If we do not suppose that GRRM is completely ignoring real world medicine there - which he does nowhere else - then she was planning for him to die of wound infection all the time.
