Episode 6 has SUCH a dark ending, with basically everyone in that alternate world dying. They did a great job, as you said, showing how each of the characters in that alternate universe responded to the crisis. Fortunately the “real” Brigadier in “our” world I’m sure would be far more level headed and compassionate than his alt self.

I mean, in the alt!verse, it was mentioned as something happening off-screen (the Doctor said something about wanting to talk to Sir Keith and Stahlman said: 'Sir Keith Gold was killed in a motor accident twenty four hours ago. Rather unfortunate. '), but this time we got to actually SEE it.
