This is def one of my all-time faves. Vaughn is SOOOO creepy and horrible as a villain, but I adore him!

2022-04-02 02:55:21 +0000 UTCDuring one of Vaughn's arguments with the Cyber-Planner, he says something like "My body may be cybernetic, but my mind remains human!" -- so that's how he managed to survive being shot at point-blank range. The reason Episode Six seems a little disjointed is that they ran out of time and/or money to film a planned action sequence of UNIT troops ambushing the scientist Gregory and a couple of henchmen and getting the Professor away from them -- the henchmen would be killed or captured and Gregory would run off and hide in the sewers. That's why the episode cuts straight from the Brig and his men planning the raid to a scene in Vaughn's office where Gregory reports it and so tells us what we never got to see. His death scene (shot by Cybermen in the sewers) had already been filmed and so was left in, even though it seems a bit out of place in the episode as it stands.
