I really like how layered the characters are, and the fact that they are revealing those layers bit by bit. Really good storytelling!

I mean, apparently when he's sober, he not only relives that particular trauma (as Ben says something like 'You went there again, didn't you?' when he woke up from a nightmare about it), but he then has to deal with other dead people as well. Definitely not a super power I'd like! :( But yeah, Klaus really grew on me. At first I was a bit worried he was just a rehash of Robert Sheehan's other character Nathan in 'Misfits', where he was ALSO a pretty obnoxious super-powered character -- but Klaus actually has got a lot of more depth and nuance going on here instead and I just love Sheehan's layered performance dealing with all of that. Also, this was where my feelings for Diego turned around quite a bit, where I could see more behind his hard shell and empathize with him more. I mean, it was super-sweet with him and his mother with his stutter in his flashback (and then again when she died) in the last episode too, but I also thought it was super-poignant when he discovers Patch's body, as he really did seem to care a lot for her too. More and more I think his tough-man act is really just that: an act. I think he's a bit of a softie underneath, but really is reluctant to show that because of his emotional damage. (And yes, he did shut off their mom. I think maybe he's in denial about it? Honestly, I can't remember why he's lying about it, so it's a mystery to me too!)
