Troughton has a very expressive face, which they make a reasonable show of conveying in the animation. We're very lucky to have this recreation. I'm not sure where they sourced the audio from in this instance, but some animations have been able to use audio tape recordings made by fans directly off tbe TV while watching the broadcast (something I used to do myself as a kid). Oh, and it's a recorder he's playing, not a flute.
