Important Changes to this Patreon

Over the last five years, you've been more than supporters; you've been fellow travelers in my RPG journey. Your support has allowed me to turn my hobby into a livelihood, and I am deeply thankful.

We've accomplished so much together – creating nearly a thousand unique tokens and thousands more variations, completing the 5e monster source book. We've collaborated with other incredible content creators and even penned our own thrilling adventures.. It's been an incredible journey!

However, every adventurer knows when it's time for a new challenge. While I love making top-down tokens, I feel the urge to step out of my comfort zone and try something different.

The RPG landscape is changing – more creators are making top down tokens, many of them are content creators with teams and large followings that added top down tokens to their already  large pool of content .

AI image generators are becoming increasingly prevalent. While I've embraced these changes, they also signal it's time for me to evolve.

That's why I'm making some changes to this Patreon page. It's not an end, but a turn towards unexplored paths and new stories waiting to be told.

What will change?

The biggest update to our Patreon journey is the introduction of the Eternal Tier, priced at just $3. This new tier offers all the magical benefits that the current Mage Tier provides, but at less than half the price.

Generative AI

As shown in my recent token packs - October, November, and December 2023 - I've had a new companion in my creative process: generative AI. It's like having a magical assistant by my side; we're a team where I contribute 50% with my original art, and AI handles the other 50%, using my creations as models (LORA) or inputs for image generators such as Midjourney. As this technology develops, so might my workflow. 

This collaboration with AI has been more than just a technical upgrade. It's a bridge that has led me to greater efficiency and creative freedom. Because of this, I've found the time to work on another exciting project, which I'm excited to share with you soon.

Moulinette

A quick update for you all about using Moulinette Cloud with Foundry VTT. As it stands, Moulinette doesn’t allow generative AI content, which is a big part of my new token packs. This means these latest packs won't be available on Moulinette, just so you know.

I get that many of you are fans of Moulinette, and this might be a bit of a letdown. It's a new direction for us, but also a chance to explore other cool options. The good news is all the packs up until 'Pack 58 - Strange Creatures' will still be there on Moulinette.

As an alternative, try out the 'Drag Upload' module in Foundry VTT. It's a really handy tool that lets you drag and drop images right from your explorer folders. Super simple and it lets you import them as NPCs in your games. It's a great workaround and I think you'll find it pretty useful for bringing in the new tokens

Upcoming Project

I'm super excited to share that I've kicked off a brand-new project, set to launch in the new year.

This isn't just any project – it's a Patreon page where we're going to build a complete 5e campaign adventure together. And here's the best part: all of you, my patrons, will be right at the heart of it, making key decisions every step of the way. We'll kick things off with a poll to decide the campaign book's theme. Your voices and ideas will shape our adventure from start to finish.
