Dearest Delta, What are your thoughts about food delivery services like Uber Eats charging more for menu items than the restaurant’s delivery option on their own websites? When placing an order, We’ve noticed that prices for the same menu item can be several dollars more on Uber Eats than on the restaurant’s site. We even checked with restaurants who said that not only does Uber Eats raise the prices for menu items, but the restaurant gets less money from Uber Eats compared to ordering directly from their own website. Is this the corporate greed machine working its magic on us? Should we avoid Uber Eats altogether? Sincerely, Jacob and Max

I have been working on a creative project since 2021 with a less than ideal partner. They never arrive earlier than 10-15 minutes late, they’re never prepared or ready to roll, and the workload has become, without exaggeration, more than 96% me and 4% them. To say the experience has soured would be an understatement. Last summer, I expressed my displeasure and attempted to end my involvement but after an emotional discussion we decided to retool and shift the project into something new. But alas, here I am, still feeling animosity, and wanting to be done. I feel disempowered because when I’m honest with them, they literally begin to cry, and turn the table by saying how unfair it is to them if I were to walk away. Real talk: How do I respectfully end this, and tie up all the loose ends and close all the accounts, when they will want to cry and play the victim? Much love Faye

I recently went into Subway to get a sandwich and a large fountain soda. I loved their soda because they had Hubert’s Lemonade as an option along with some of the better fountain Coca Cola and Sprite in the chains. To my shock and horror they must have changed contracts because the fountain beverages are now all Pepsi products. I hold space for Pepsi and Starry now and then, but I had spent all day looking forward to my fountain Hubert’s Lemonade and it was gone. In the wise words of an elite song “I walk right in, walk right out”

How do things like flavor, cut, & style factor into which bag you’d reach for first? For example, I strongly prefer a classic wavy chip as the vehicle for the sour cream & onion flavor but a baked chip for sour cream & cheddar or barbecue. Any other factors you consider? This happens all the time at my work, where instead of waiting in line patrons will try to hop in while I’m helping someone else. What would be the very delta way to handle this scenario? Is there ever an appropriate time to “cut the line”?
