Going back to Ukraine! New Video Coming!

I have bought the ticket. I am headed back to Europe on March 4th. After spending some time with friends and vesting Amsterdam, Berlin, Vienna, I will head to Poland where I will cross the border into Ukraine. Once in Ukraine, I plan to film with I.E.D. crews, interview soldiers, aid workers, and film whatever I can to add to the historical record of the atrocity known as the Russian invasion of Ukraine. I'm happy I got to spend some time with family, I need to get back to Ukraine since spring is coming soon, which may include fresh offensives from either the Russians or the Ukrainians. There is too much going on for me to stay in America any longer. It's difficult leaving though, especially knowing how hard it is on my family, but this is something I feel like I need to do. Something I want to do. 

I also have a new video coming soon. I want to get it out before I leave the United States, but that all depends on the editing process. The writing and voice over is all done, just need to let the editor highprogressive do his work. He is good at what he does, and I think this will be one of my favorite pieces released about the war yet. The piece is about an organization known as signmyrocket.com, which signs Ukrainian artillery shells, rockets, and more before they are fired at the Russian army. People can donate in order to have a custom message written on the shells. I got invited to their headquarters in Cherkassy in order to interview the man behind the operation, and ask how the whole thing came together while reflecting on the commercialization of violence. Had a lot of fun working on this piece. 

Also the piece of that one should be about the "Rage against the War Machine" rally, since I filmed some interviews there and want to talk about how an American ends up supporting the Russian invasion or falling for pro-war talking points.
