Added 2025-07-27 12:33:00 +0000 UTCContinuing Summer of Prog, I'm reviewing another long requested classic: The Lamp Lies Down on Broadway by Genesis, a double album and their last with frontman Peter Gabriel. It's a rock opera set in New York City as Rael goes on a spiritual journey, coming across many strange sights along the way.
To be honest, I had a really hard time putting this one together, mostly due to past experiences with Phil Collins people claiming copyright on YouTube. So I decided to break the format and do most of this off-script with some voiceovers leftover from my abandoned full review of this album. Hopefully ya'll still enjoy it. The next review will be closer in spirit to my other reviews. I appreciate everyone's support.

The best songs are really good and Heartless Heart reminds me of Pink Floyd. Still there are some mediocre songs that make me lose interest a bit. Definitely one of the essential Genesis albums despite some weaker songs,
