“It Never Entered My Mind” Practice Cam

Today I wanted to share this little impromptu jazz practice session with you! Every once in a while, I like to practice some songs in styles that I don’t sing super often to keep my voice and my technique fresh. It had certainly been a MINUTE since I practiced anything in this style, but I love interpreting me some Ella Fitzgerald and this is one of my favorites. You’ll also maybe notice that I’m super red in the face, and that’s because I had a little dance sesh right before this as well, so I was really testing my voice that night 🤣 Anyway, it’s really fun and helpful to practice stuff that’s a bit out of my comfort zone here and there, so I hope you enjoy!

2024-08-16 18:49:32 +0000 UTCSo I listened to Ella Fitzgerald on YouTube and I can see the resemblance and see the quality you put in however to me with how you sang the song sounded closer to Judy Garland singing for Ella Fitzgerald and for any wizard of of oz fan matching in quality to Garland or Ella Fitzgerald is by no means an easy feat to meet. I think you found the right cadence to stay yourself but maintain her legacy.
