so I'm a crazy person and 2 dolls wasn't enough so I backtracked a little to make a 3rd doll and more doll heads + wigs to optimize more of a shoot
I nearly ripped my own hair out working with the curly brown hair wefts for the first time... I won't get too into it, but I had to cut SO MUCH HAIR to make it work. I definitely ragequit and went to bed on the verge of tears at 4AM one night because i thought there was no saving the wig. I also rage quit again when I had to hand sew a silver wig and rush-cut it into an asymmetrical bob. Rushed work leads to a lot of mistakes but the results were phenomenal.
I used the heat transfer method on multiple different swatches. I did attempt the star knit tank and happy parfait knit vest on swatches of colored twill but the final fabric felt so stiff it was complete unworkable for the doll. I then tried the heat transfer of the cycling jersey design onto a super thin polyester fake satin lining material (same material I used for the lining of the happy hats 6 months ago). It came out kiiiinda flexible, much like paper, and I eye-balled some darts for the chest area and started handsewing a little cycling jersey. The happytime ringer was a relatively painless heat transfer over to an old sleeve of a throw-away stained white tee (courtesy of Dom).
For the shoes, I had so much frustration painting the last 2 pairs that I said why not print MORE. So yeah, I did the 3D printing process again and uh I need to get model paint brushes and stop thinking I'm god and can paint with regular sized stubby used oil painting brushes. You'll prob recognize these as our previous plush shoe model :) but with some pizazz.

here's the final pic we ended up with for the ad for that magazine I mentioned at the beginning but why stop there when we can make all the doll photos!!
some more will be up on our IG later today :) also wow i just learned that i can put images inline with the posts here on patreon.... lmao ^_^;;
