They explained last episode and said in epsiode 11 when mahito was talking to geto (the bad sorcerer dude) he planted the finger at his moms house and it was their ploy to make jumpei tweak or something

First, you weren't sure if Junpei had latent ability or if he was given the power. Well, in the theater he was able to see Mahito for the first time on his own, that's why he chased Mahito into the alley. If a person can see full curses like that, it's implied they have latent abilities. Most likely due to the bullying and sadness he experienced, the negative emotions inside him made him become sensitive to cursed energy enough to start seeing them. Also, those small circular scars on his forehead were cigarette burns inflicted by that main popular-guy bully. It showed it in ep11 i think but only for like two seconds, easy to miss. And last thing, Nanami the 7:3 business guy, when he took his glasses off inside the Domain, he wasn't about to do anything special, he said he lived a decent life and has no regrets. It's implying he was just accepting his death since death is usually guaranteed when caught in a curse Domain like that. He says later in the ep that he would've died if Itadori wasn't there to break open the barrier.
