current way i do this is authentication via email, on my website, and i have to keep this whitelit updated manually
soon i'm going to start posting direct links, but direct links that only work if you click through to them from a patreon post
so in the end, gatekeeping non-patrons is gonna work and it'll be easier for you - and me! - as i won't have to manually whitelist and un-whitelist patrons
