I thought I'd share the test piece I'm working on for the next guide. Have you ever been really excited to paint something but didn't have a solid color scheme in mind even after starting? That's what happened with this mini.
The white armor was the first thing that I was satisfied with, and then I tried to build the rest of the scheme around that. I went through several iterations trying out different colors for the clothing, and these two pics are some of the final ones. I finally settled on the blue for the tutorial because I preferred the way the overall colder palette looks together.
Another reason I like it is because the various elements share some paints which helps make it more efficient for squad paintingβ something I've been thinking about how to incorporate into guides more often lately.
Also, if you like the green version, worry not! I wrote down the recipe, so it will feature in a future tutorial :)
It won't be on this exact mini, but the guide for this should be up in a few days.
