Chapter 18 - I am Spider Tobey

Hello, Peter here.

While I wait for my aunt and uncle to finish their transformation, let’s talk about a few things that might have made you curious.

About the ring on my finger—it’s actually my main and largest base. Yeah, it’s not a space ring; it’s a base shaped like a ring that’s been shrunk down.

At its full size, this ring is probably larger than Earth. And if I were to expand all the items stored inside it, I can’t even calculate how big it would be. After all, I’ve upgraded my resource-mining methods in space.

Over time, my ships stopped being nano-ships and became real ships. I no longer worry about materials or fuel.

Using tritium, I built Arc Reactors far more powerful than Tony Stark’s. I had placed the power of the sun under my control. Using tritium to make a sun like Doctor Octopus did was a joke to me. In fact, I did something much better with way less tritium. Plus, I have no shortage of tritium. I have more tritium than Wakanda had vibranium, hehe.

And well, being able to create artificial suns and merge them into an Arc Reactor = a super Arc Reactor.

Oh, fun fact: I found a massive asteroid full of a material with the same properties as vibranium, leading me to deduce that this must be this universe’s version of vibranium. Another fun fact: After many calculations done by me and AI Chip, we discovered that a little over 10,000 years ago, this same asteroid was on a collision course with Earth and would have crashed somewhere in Africa—but unfortunately, it changed trajectory just before entering Earth’s atmosphere.

Well, looks like Wakanda never existed in this world.

Now, back to what I was talking about.

The ships, with their own super Arc Reactors, no longer needed refueling. They could travel at speeds close to the speed of light without breaking apart, thanks to the materials I synthesized for their hulls. And more importantly, they had teleportation portals inside them to send the collected materials directly to me.

The amount of resources I had grew rapidly. So I turned them into more ships and other necessary tools for exploration and sent them back through the portals. This way, whether it was asteroids, planets, or anything useful, I mined it all.

I was rapidly expanding the frontiers of my exploration, and it’s been over two years since I started exploring beyond the solar system.

The number of unknown materials and elements I’ve discovered is insane. I’ve been constantly researching and gaining a lot from it.

The serum I’m injecting into my aunt and uncle is part of the result of these studies.

The serum initially allows them to exert 15 tons of force, climb walls, super-jump, enhanced speed, super endurance, a body tough enough to withstand sniper bullets, and a super sense bordering on precognition. Basically, a Spider-Man super serum—without turning them into a Spider Totem.

The serum has no spider DNA or anything like that. I simply extracted similar effects and incorporated them into the serum.

It also grants super regeneration, anti-aging, and the ability to elementally transform their bodies, just like Electro and Sandman could. For Uncle Ben, I chose a lightning body, and for Aunt May, a wind body.

What? You think I’m not capable of doing that?

Dude, this is a universe where you can fall into a tank of eels and become a lightning man, or get caught in a supercollider accident and turn into a sandman.

It’s way more believable that a guy with super intelligence, a super AI, and more resources at his disposal than the entire planet he lives on can do this.

Moving on. I could give them even more powers, but if I went any further, it might start affecting their mentality and cause them to lose control.

Now, another question you might have: Why the hell don’t I use a serum on myself? Well, that’s a good question.

The answer is simple: I don’t need to right now.

I have until I’m 17 to fear nothing. After 17, I still fear nothing.

Why? Because I’ve been working on absurd projects that can protect my life at any time.

And I’ve secretly equipped my family with these safety measures, too.

But that’s not the main reason. For me, no amount of security is ever enough.

The real reason is that it’s worth the wait. The serum I gave my aunt and uncle is completely safe. I can mass-produce it and create an army of heroes.

But I have much stronger serums—and I’ve been developing even more powerful ones. Occasionally, I come across new materials that inspire me.

I’ve been fusing all the serums together, and I’ve been succeeding. The only problem is that the serum is too strong. Once I inject it, my body will become so powerful that it will reject any future serum I try to inject.

But if I’m such a genius, why don’t I create a way to suppress my current serum so I can inject more in the future?

Because that would be stupid.

I can’t create a flawed serum with a weakness that someone might discover.

That’s why I need one last ingredient. The problem is, I just can’t find it.

But I’m not worried because I know this ingredient will come knocking on my door in seven years.

The final ingredient is something everyone knows and loves.

A small, cute, brain-eating black slime.

The Venom symbiote.
