Chapter 4 - New life in God of War

"Temporal domain? So this is the power of the second wish that being granted me?! But which character does this belong to? Well, it doesn't matter, it's just another advantage for me." He said, still deep in thought.

"Well, forget about it. With my current level of understanding, trying to grasp the concept of time is just a waste of time. First, I’ll continue with my plans." He decided.

He looked at the castle corridors and decided to explore. After a while, he had visited the entire castle and everything around it. But everything was empty—the food in the kitchen didn’t exist, the books in the library were fake, and the forbidden forest was just ordinary grass.

"Chamber, take me back!" He decided to return.

Despite the beautiful scenery, it was boring, and he had more important things to do.

Soon, he found himself back at the training grounds.

'I could go to sleep, but I'll probably just keep thinking about the scenes of me killing a child, so it's better to focus on training for now,' he thought.

He then sat cross-legged on the ground, closed his eyes, and started trying to sense his Magic Core. In just 10 seconds, he felt as if he had been meditating for over 11 days.

He opened his eyes and began to understand.

After repeating this process several times, over a total of 2 days, he had accumulated nearly 550 years' worth of magical studies, and it took him another 8 days to comprehend those 550 years of magical knowledge. He was only able to process it so quickly because magic had altered his mind, allowing his comprehension to advance once again.

The gains were also significant. He now had complete mastery over his Magic Core, had pushed it to its limit, achieving the famed magical crystallization, could cast spells without a wand better than if he had one, could perform silent magic, and had created multiple spells he had seen in the Harry Potter universe and others. Above all, he had trained Occlumency to its peak.

His mind was now like a supercomputer, his comprehension was sky-high, and he circulated magic through his body in a way that broke his potential limit and pushed him to another level.

"Now, let’s rest, eat something, and move on to my next enemy."

Soon, he was ready in the training grounds.

"Chamber, I want to fight Captain America from the MCU," the young man commanded.

[Target - Captain America]
 [Origin - MCU]
 [Target Found]
 [Proceed?]

"Yes!" The young man said.

He soon found himself in a destroyed military base.

He saw a symbol of an octopus with a skull on the wall.

"Hydra..." the young man whispered.

But before he could continue, he heard the sound of something cutting through the air.

Plop

Without thinking much, he teleported a few meters to the side.

Bang

The sound of something embedding itself into the wall rang out.

When he looked, there was a shield lodged in the wall with the Hydra symbol—right where his neck had been just seconds ago.

"Glup That was close," the young man swallowed nervously.

Then, he saw a man walking towards the shield, pulling it out of the wall.

The man, dressed in a blue uniform with a star on his chest, placed the shield back on his arm and looked at the young man with eyes full of hostility.

"Damn, can't we talk a little before trying to kill each other? Haha... ha... haaa..." The young man joked, but he felt awkward when he received no response—only another shield flying straight at his face.

The young man used his footwork to dodge the shield, but it bounced off the wall and came flying toward the back of his head.

He rolled on the ground, dodging again, as the shield returned to Captain America's hand.

"How rude. COME ON! Let’s have a blood-boiling fight!! No magic!! No swords!!" The young man shouted, deepening his voice.

He then charged toward the Captain, who also ran toward him.

He jumped and threw a punch at the Captain, who blocked it with his shield.

A loud noise echoed, but the Captain remained standing, while the young man stepped back, shaking his hands in pain.

"Argh, damn it, that OP shield!" the young man complained.

If it were a normal shield, even with the Captain’s super strength, he would have been sent flying several meters.

When a normal person punches, they can’t generate much force with just their arm. Someone who knows how to punch can use their arm strength effectively, assisted by their body. A professional can channel power from their entire body into their strike.

Now, someone like him, who had reached the 10th punch, could draw power beyond his body—harnessing strength from the environment, gravity, bones, and every fiber of his being.

His punch was absurdly powerful.

Soon, he and Captain America engaged in a fierce battle. But the Captain was completely overpowered—he only managed to last a few minutes due to his super strength and shield. But soon, he fell, defeated, and the young man drew his sword and decapitated him.

The young man felt a bit dazed after killing a person, but his strong mind and Occlumency quickly helped him adapt to what had happened.

"Well, I was already much stronger than Captain America even before receiving magic. In this fight, I didn’t even boost my strength with magic. I only chose him as my second opponent because I was afraid my mind might change after receiving the super-serum. Fortunately, I have Occlumency now," the young man analyzed.

[Congratulations on your victory!]
[What do you wish to receive?]
 [Super-serum]
 [Shield combat skills]
 [Intermediate English proficiency]
 [Innate commander ability]
 [...]...

"Super-serum!!" The young man responded excitedly.
