Thanks for sharing, I hadn't started listening when this was originally released. All the best to his family and friends. In a very bizarre coincidence, I saw this on the feed yesterday after my husband and I had been listening to Everything to Guppy back episodes in the car earlier in the day. The episode we were listening to from Feb 2024 had a segment where Will convinced Gary to give a rendition of the podcast he would release announcing Will's death. It was a little surreal to hear the wrapper recorded for this rerelease the same day.

2025-07-21 23:31:42 +0000 UTCJeremy and this episode in particular were part of what got me into the network years ago. So sorry to hear the news, but happy at least to get to revisit these shows.

2025-07-16 03:21:07 +0000 UTCWhen I was stressed or couldn’t sleep over the worst of the pandemic, I would just relisten to the first season of Bonfireside Chat over and over. Always loved the Jeremy PVP episodes, and then listened to all of Don’t Give Up Skeleton afterward, including the great “Dark Souls Widows” episode with Autumn. He seemed like a great person and friend. I will miss hearing his voice, but am thankful for getting to know him through his work, an obvious labor of love.

2025-07-16 00:40:07 +0000 UTCI've gotten a little choked up thinking about Jeremy's passing since you let us know. I have listened to only a few episodes he guest appeared on, and I thought it was interesting that it was affecting me. I started to think about why this was having such an impact, when I tend to be pretty stoic for better or worse. I've come to the conclusion that over the years, y'all finding joy in gaming, or cinema, etc has brought me vicarious joy. Not just in that y'all dissecting something and joking around brings me joy, but it makes me happy when you are happy. And now likewise, that you are experiencing significant loss, I am very sad, for myself and for you. Jeremy really did just seem like a wonderful man. I look forward to hearing more of his contributions as you go back and dig them up for us. I'm so sorry for your loss. Rest in peace, Jeremy.

2025-07-15 16:17:50 +0000 UTCthe bit about "I sure hope they don't find my shitty blog and miss out on the classics of the age" regrettably describes the written knowledge of human antiquity so buckle up bonerhitler69 will bear the faint ember of the human mind

2025-07-15 14:41:52 +0000 UTCI'm not a comics guy so I never really listened to Days of Future Cast, but I remembered Jeremy as one of the standout Bonfireside Chat hosts/guests and it always made me happy that he became a Duckfeed institution and I was always glad to hear him mentioned in other shows. His passing felt extra tragic to me because his story felt like a Duckfeed "happily ever after." I'm so sorry for your loss.

2025-07-15 14:41:11 +0000 UTCAww. I hope everyone is doing well in his circle. I found out I’m Facebook friends with some of his family just by happenstance. Small world.
