Reacting to "Finally Rich" by Chief Keef

FYI, I get bored with most of the music videos, so I skipped a bulk of them. I do apologize if that upsets anyone. I did the very important second listen of "Love Sosa" in though, and that's captured.

Enjoy!

I know I'm late to this video but one of the things to keep in mind about chief keef is that he was like 17 when he blew up with all these songs. So when you see him in these music videos pointing guns at the camera and whatnot, he's technically still a minor. A lot of the Chicago rappers that blew up around this time weren't even of legal age and were rapping about murders and "turning their dead opps into blunts" which was a catchy phrase to mock their opps that the masses could sing along to. This chiraq era was (and still is) just insane

Punching air rn about the love sosa section haha. Keef is known as "Sosa" which might add some context. The intro is a video that was popular before the song came out: https://youtu.be/TaEdQV7_6dE Love sosa is genre defining for trap. So glad you got to review it! Thanks Poppop

“I wish he put this as his opening song” to I don’t like is killing me since that was like his first official song and the album runner 😭

Andrew Paret

Self titled playboy carti album is classic

PTP JAY

I'm happy he's gotten out. Hopefully the guy is doing better now

in reference to the money talk, remember that keef was 15/16 when making these songs, so the topics/financial interests arent obviously very mature. He has actually chilled out a lot and moved out of chigaco pretty quick after his success

swagboy

The skit on Love Sosa is actually a 16-year-old boy named Jordan Gilty who was defending Chief Keef from his haters. You can find the video on YouTube if you search for his name.

I'm a huge Chief Keef fan. I remember how refreshing it was when Back From The Dead popped in 2012. With that said, Finally Rich has aged quite poorly and was never one of my favorite Keef projects anyway. Bang 2 and Almighty So are really the projects that influenced so many of the young rappers of the late '10s/early '20s, though there won't be any value in listening to them for you.

Bob you gotta listen to 808s and heartbreak live at hollywood bowl, completely different listen

Best way I could describe Kay Kay is a really high energy feel good track that puts you in a good mood , it’s very catchy I’m sure after a couple listens it’ll grown on you

Joey

Bob bumping his head to love Sosa is so funny. Don’t ever think I would see that. Sosa was also on Kanye’s yeezus on the song hold my liquor. Speaking of Kanye, PLEASE FINISH HIS DISCOGRAPHY. Also xxxtentacion “?” Album would be cool to. And just throwing this in there, jids “ DiCaprio 2” would be amazing to see a reaction from. :) great reaction tho Bob.

Matthew Mendez

Bob please give thot breaker a listen just to check out the way Chief Keef has completely evolved and reshaped his sound over the years

Damn I watching this hungover, kindred spirits 🤣🤣

We are inching closer to pop smoke boys

Please react to rx papi - my name is my name. It's a newer drill album and rx papi has a very unique style

Since you like this as well as weird dark stuff I gotta recommend Symetary's Rainbow Bridge 3. Imagine this album but turned up to like 1000 and about chainsaws and necromancy

Josh Burcham

Loved this, I would have recommended you to react to Almighty So the mixtape though. That’s the true influence he left on this generation. It’s very drug induced experimental music
