Video host still says the video is processing, but it also has a status of 'playable' and it's taking forever, so I'm just gonna post it. You might notice minor things like resolution drops, stutter, etc. Sorry for the wait. Enjoy!

You’re having a positive impact on all of us by just letting us experience music with you, that’s beautiful. and Bob best believe im waiting on that song about my city Bakersfield

Mr. Bigweld

I've been getting pestered a lot for RTJ3 lately :)

Bob_the_Poppop

Thanks for joining along for all this time :)

Bob_the_Poppop

They still sit very high on the list. I like the idea of doing an Earl "Super Friday" and knocking out a lot of his remaining projects

Bob_the_Poppop

I appreciate it/am happy to hear it

Bob_the_Poppop

I think this is a good thing. You can join the journey :)

Bob_the_Poppop

With new world water it's about the importance of one of our most purest resourses and how industry has capitalized on it and potentially will/has control populations with it

I thought this album was bloated when I first heard it but all of the tracks have grown on me since. Habitat was a mediocre track to me at first but now it's one of my favourites. It gives me a big feeling of sonder - "realizing that every one, including strangers passing in the street, has a life as complex as one's own, which they are constantly living despite one's personal lack of awareness of it." The last verse on Brooklyn feels like an intro to Habitat that links the songs (it starts with "Brooklyn my habitat..."). After Yasiin Bey paints a picture of Brooklyn and shows his love, Habitat talks about how home isn't necessarily a physical location but a feeling. Shouting out other cities reminds us that there are people all over the world living in different places that still share that same feeling of home despite having their own unique environments and experiences. That's my take on it anyway, I can't help but ramble about this album whenever it's brought up

This is a bit of a full circle moment for me Bob. I found your channel by chance a year ago looking for a Black on Both Sides reaction. Despite pestering you to react to this album from day one, I’m glad you listened to it at this stage of your journey. Your channel has helped me discover new music and appreciate albums I love in new ways. It’s also been great getting takes on social issues and life from an open minded individual who’s seeking understanding. Not to mention the community you’ve created and showing that it’s a strength to be vulnerable. That’s being a positive in my books.

Famous Amos

Love the video. Great reaction. U should listen 🎧 to Kendrick Lamar’s cover of Umi Says. It’s one of my fav from him.

Jay Dog

Thankyou for your dedication to this journey Bob <3

Josh

You posting these videos and making thousands of peoples days even just a little better every week is more than a lot of people can hope to do in terms of helping others.

Isaac Robichau

Love this reaction, but you never did any other Earl albums!

Sam Murray

Hope you do The New Danger and hopefully the Cool by Lupe!!!!

Timothy Payton

You are part of the solution Bob, thanks for being you! I think a lot of people look up to you.

Sjur Kvam

Don’t have the patience

Antonio Macias

He's got to start with Do You Want More??!! and go thru most of their discography then end it with Undun.

After a long day at work a good bob rant was just what I needed. Amazing video and brought my eyes to a new album I had not discovered before.

paula cherry

Just started the video now, crazy day at work. I'll report back if I remember

Alex VonBerg

What do you think?

Mahmood Al Mardi

Please don’t feel like you don’t do enough. You have no idea how much you do for me everyday, coming home from work late at night and watching your videos.

The true G.O.A.T.

Paul Salvador Estrada

You doing your part and its touching more people in so many ways you don't know. You ARE doing something great ......this channel is changing people in ways you can't imagine.....thank you.

PRINCE

Honestly after this Album Drake does seem kind of shitty in retrospect

Tyrone Ross

pretty sure that Fresno radio station is now either called The Wolf or Blaze I'm still in Fresno but i haven't listened to the radio in a while. Fucking loved the Bakersfield joke about a band can only be called either Oil, Smog, or Korn. Too accurate.

Also, replacing "New World Water" with "New World Order" gives a lot of insight into the double entendre.

More Nas when???

Tyler Johnson

I need "Undun" by The Roots soon

Antonio Macias

For the Song "New World Water", it is literally about water and it's importance. How people need it to survive, how precious it is (droughts), how we do not understand the importance of it, how corporations monetize/pollute it.

Umi Says is what I like to call a "centering song". Sometimes we end up consuming so many articles, videos, tweets, speeches etc about how bad the world is in a variety of ways for a variety of peoples that it's easy to forget how good life is or can be, and it's easy to discount them - for some reason the overwhelming terror of the bad tends to outweigh the brilliant scintillating shine of the good, and it makes you feel like everything you've done is worthless or that you don't do enough or that you'll never be enough. But then Mos Def comes in and tells you to shine your light for the world to see, and his raw emotion and honesty centers you and you remember that the point is to exist, to be happy, and to help, and so long as you do that you're doing ok. The world has always had bad and good but keep shining and you become that scintillating good for all to see. I fell in love with that song the moment I heard it, ran out and bought the album, and I listen to it all the time, going on almost 25 years now.

I was waiting for you to realize that the beat in Ms. Fat Booty is also used in Surround Sound in The Forever Story. Great video Bob!

I'm embarrassed to admit that this will also be my first time listening to this album as well

Alex VonBerg

I used to love this album back in the day when I was in highschool like 20 years ago. Find it boring now

John

The Ecstatic is also great, his second best imo. But not on any streaming service for some reason

Erik H

possibly one of the best albums ever. his next album (The New Danger) is a bit divisive but i love it. a lot of rock/blues influence on there.
